what is the measure of a person?

If I left this life tomorrow, what would I leave behind? What footprint will I have left? My life is not extraordinary. There will be no monuments dedicated to my memory, no pages in a history book for students to draw on. My existence, such that it is, was brief and unspectacular. I leave no children, no body of work, no creation meant to carry on my legacy. So how will I be remembered when I have long faded from this world?

Is it possible to have a legacy of love? If what love I have given has ever touched someone's heart, warmed them for a moment of time, and given them something to remember, how happy I would be.

How simple, how incredible, how miraculous, how priceless, how infinite is love...

"I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time
Know there was something that, and something that I left behind
When I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets
Leave something to remember, so they won't forget

I was here...
I lived, I loved
I was here...
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here...

I want to say I lived each day, until I died
I know that I had something in, somebody's life
The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave
That I made a difference, and this world will see

I was here...
I lived, I loved
I was here...
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here...

I was here...
I lived, I loved
I was here...
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here...

I just want them to know
That I gave my all, did my best
Brought someone to happiness
Left this world a little better just because...

I was here...

I was here...
I lived, I loved
I was here...
I did, I've done, everything that I wanted
And it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here..."
