grargh. i can't believe i'm playing magic. i can't believe i'm actually spending money to play this silly game. D: and i don't understand why i haven't lost interest in it..

was i missing out in high school all along, when joseph/ian/brian/travis/whoever-else was playing it almost on a daily basis?!

I actually love that game too, I played it a lot in College. I haven't so much lately since my friends who play it live in Davis and I'm not gonna go up there just to play it.

I think it holds your interest because there is so much strategy to it. There are almost infinite combinations of cards you can make and some work better against certain types of opponents then others. I also like the balance of the game. I used to play a lot of drafts where you have to make a deck from the cards you get at the draft, I like that way better as it requires less financial commitment. Making your own decks can get really expensive, especially if you want the best cards.

haha, yeah, i agree with your point on how much strategy there is to the game. i've tried drafting - it's hard! i usually just play casually with my bf and some friends though so i've made a few decks.. even though it's kind of expensive.
