Happiness is staying in bed all day reading a book from cover to cover! I read "I am Gold" by Bill James, my favorite police procedural writer. He's a Brit. I had Bavarian Cream and strawberries for breakfast with my coffee and German Chocolate bars and toast for lunch. I adore being lazy and if I keep this up, I will be lazy and fat.

I'm reading Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf.

I listened to Natural Breathing by Dennis Lewis and now I'm listening to a book on Hands on Healing by William Bengston. I really like this guy.

Reading Little Town by Heinrich Mann and

A Case of Two Cities by Qiu Xiaolong.

I had to abandon the listening to the Einstein biography by Walter Erickson. It skipped way too much. It is very disappointing.

I'm listening to the audio book Black Elk Speaks and to a biography of Einstein - one in the car and one at home. It turns out that the rumor that Einstein failed his Math classes as a kid is a myth. He actually was a couple years ahead of his class and exhausted the capacity of a medical student to tutor him when he was around 12-14 years old.

Listened to the book "My Lobotomy" on tape. Wow! If you are ever feeling sorry for yourself, read that book! It was good.

Now I'm reading - with my eyes - the Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

Just read Small Craft Warning by Tennessee Williams. I'm listening to American Conspiracies by Jesse Ventura and reading the quitting smoking book ( Read more... )

Books on tape!!! Listened to an autobiography of Muhammad Ali along with The Woodcutter by Reginald Hill this weekend. It was so great to do artwork and other things around the house while listening. I read the Cossacks by Tolstoy - so great! As I read it I really picked up on Tolstoy's influence on Thomas Mann. I went to Wikipedia to learn a little more about Tolstoy and, sure enough, there was a mention of Mann's appreciation of Tolstoy.
