how quickly emotions turn

Earlier today I was feeling like my vacation had given me some time to recharge and re-energize and I was eager to return in order to pursue some of the job interviews I had in the works, and to spend time seeing my friends.

Hang in there. I'm in much the same place as you are - I'm finding myself totally lousy at initiating anything regarding getting together with folks. I'm working, but scattered lately.

Anyway, hang in there. Safe trip back. I wish I had job hunt advice, but I don't at this point, although I understand the pressures and frustrations over this pattern. *hugs*

I hope that all it means is that there's something better and more perfect for you.

Wow, I would also be knocked for a loop by such a thing.

I'm wondering if you might want to write a polite email to the VP letting him know that (1) you accept their decision to look for someone else, and (2) you are confused by the sudden change in interest so (3) would he be willing to give you some feedback on what was missing in your presentation so that you can have better success next time?

I'm guessing that what happened has more to do with their internal politics than any serious mistake on your part, but you are wise to look for feedback on those aspects of how you show up to others which you can't easily see yourself.
