XO Laptops?

So, I'm considering an XO from One Laptop Per Child (Give One Get One is available through Amazon.com) as my main gift to the girls this year.  My concern is the lack of support available.

I know some of you out there have one - what has your experience been?

What kind of support are you speaking of?

Support = those folks at the other end of the 800 number who will fix my problems because I purchased the warranty.

The kind where I can hand the machine to someone and say "help! it's not turning on/printing/booting/moving/working"

My social circle consists almost entirely of IT professionals, so I'm spoiled rotten. Unfortunately, none of them have much Unix experience.

I got to play with one the other day, and I don't think it will suit my needs. My girls (quite rightly) demand a machine that will run their flash-based websites.
