The day job.

I am taking three classes: a fiction workshop; a loosely formed seminar on the creative process; and "Medieval Dream Visions," a traditional graduate class which I am likely to do poorly in but still want to take. I transferred to the last from a sociolinguistics class that wasn't thrilling me, despite the truly brilliant professor teaching it. I ( Read more... )

Grad school was great. Admittedly, I behaved much as I did as an undergrad, in that the library was my home away from home,

Yeah, I can see the appeal. I can also see the appeal of an M.A. or a Ph.D., though I really don't like writing papers. Fiction, on the other hand....

I didn't enjoy many aspects of graduate school, but most of that had to do with the hoops you had to jump through to become a professor. If I was independantly wealthy, becoming an eternal student would be really cool.
