but doesn't every relationship go through hard times and make your heart hurt sometimes? When is enough enough?

Yes, every relationshp does go through hard times, and you do hurt sometimes. But I think those moments are brief. I'm not saying that in a reltionship that there won't be sadness at time, or anger at time, or frustration at times... but I mean when it makes your heart actually ache.. Can thos moments happen in a good relationship.. yes they can. I think though, at those times, something in you tells you that it is something to work through and something will have been gained at the end. I have also been in the situation where my heart hurt and I knew there was nothing to be gained from hurting. I think when you start to look for a way out of the relationship, or signs that it is time to move on, then it might be. I am speaking of relationship in the broad terms of an association between people since I don;t know if you are refering to a possible love interest of a frienship. But I think this applies to both.
