Those of you who have known me in real life, you know that I am not to be woken up when sleeping. For class is one thing (particularly with 9am classes and 8:30am labs). Being woken up while I'm trying to rest up for the second half of my day may very well get you killed ( Read more... )

It seems schooling is putting the beat-on most everyone I know. I wish you the best, though. You're a smart girl, and I think you can handle this. It just might be a tad harder than expected.

Your friends believe in you Kiwi and if you ever need to vent, or you need help with anything, we're here. Promise.

...Well, the ones who are good with math. Dammit, Kikky, why couldn't you be a -history- major?

Having taken all of those afore mentioned math courses, plus a few others, I can assure you that it can go differently.

Usually it happens when someone, or some research, gives you a moment of enlightenment. You don't say "oh this is how you solve this problem" but you see the reason, the MEANING behind everything. You understand WHY a function works the way it does. You can see the reasoning that links this problem and EVERY OTHER ONE LIKE IT.

You have reached enlightenment.

This is followed by you saying, "This would have been so EASY if only someone had explained to me THIS! Why didn't my professor say THIS instead?"

Math isn't that bad, if you know how to think about it. And once you understand -- REALLY understand -- you never forget. Ask me for help anytime.

You're going to have to kill your roomie though...

Oh you know I was being sarcastic Michael. =P If I hadn't had a number of those "enlightening" moments I never would have made it so far. Thing is those for a lot of my mathmatics classes I was on my own when it came to homework and stuff. I had to rely on study sessions back then and I still rely a lot on my friends today.

There's just not enough of those people that can grant understanding. I know I'm not one. I tend to confuse people more than anything else. O_o Thankfully there's people that can lay it down like you or we'd all be lost. Maybe you should be a prof Michael. =P

Btw...I'd be happy to take care of the roomie...for a nominal fee of course.
