First off, just to get this out of the way: I'm currently playing as a Human Warrior on Frostwolf. Right now I'm at level 13. So, if anyone on Frostwolf wants to join up in the game, if my away message on AIM says I'm playing WoW, feel free to jump in and give me a hollar. My character's name is Erdrick.
Now, down to business.
I was walking through Goldshire when we started getting reports on the LocalDefense channel of Horde attacks in Westfall, and they were apparently headed our way. It turns out, four level 22+ (I'm not sure what their actual levels were, since they were over 10 levels higher than me, so they showed up as ??), Horde players (a couple of tauren, and a couple of undead) had attacked Westfall and caused major havoc, since they couldn't get a defense organized over there. They eventually made their way into Elwynn, and when we started hearing reports of sightings, LocalDefense was going nuts, and nearly everyone in the area was gathering at Goldshire to prepare a defense. More reports came in that they were sighted by the gnoll camps, then by Jarod's Landing, then we started getting messages from the server that the Maclure Vinyards were under attack. With most everyone still gathered in Goldshire, I ran down to scout out the vinyards, when sure enough, I saw four Horde players making their way north up towards Goldshire. I sounded the alarm, then the fun began. They may have had an easy time with Westfall, but they weren't prepared for the organized defense that had amassed in Goldshire. As soon as they reached the road, at least 30 Alliance players charged out and proceeded to lay a complete and utter smackdown on them. One went down within a matter of seconds, and the other three bolted off south, with an angry mob at their heels. Two more were overtaken and slaughtered before they reached the vinyards, but the last one managed to escape into Duskwood. At this point, most of the Alliance players turned back to Goldshire in case there were any more in the area that hadn't been spotted yet, but an elite few followed the Undead Warlock across the river. He eluded them for about five minutes, until one of the hunters saw him hiding behind a bush. They returned to Elwynn with news of their triumph, and there was much rejoicing.
Sadly, I didn't get any screenshots of the action, since I was too caught up in the moment and didn't think of it at the time. I do, however, have some screenshots that I took at various other points in the game.
