Yeah, haven't updated this thing in over two months, mostly because nothing's been going on that's really worth mentioning. Work, sleep, and WoW make up pretty much my entire existence lately. I guess I should try coming up with stuff to fill this space with ( Read more... )

Other than the monitor, and the PCI-X (as opposed to 8xAGP)... That sounds suspiciously like the computer I built the better part of a year ago.

I started from the ground up on the case, and only spent 1200. Though I didn't get a new monitor. Seems like if you're gonna be plunking down that kinda money, you should be a bit closer to the bleeding endge there.

Well, most of that money is going into the monitor (even with the discount, the monitor's going to account for more than half of the upgrade cost). A GeForce 7800GT would be nice... but I'd have to weigh the performance difference to the cost, since the cost is already so high as it is.

Right now, though, it's looking like it might not matter anyway, because I can't get the coupon code to work on the Dell site, so I may not even be getting the monitor.
