it's from "memoirs of a beatnik," this strange little paperback i found at a used book store. she wrote it as erotica to make some quick cash. all the sex scenes are written in a detached and self-parodying manner, like she was mocking the dirty old men who bought it for the sex. (i have a mental picture of some greasy man with a combover and smudged glasses who licks his fingers before he turns the page and says things like "oh marmelade" in a shaky voice when he gets to the juicy bits.) tangents aside, its an interesting little artifact.
