Jiji's reply was a reassuring "mrowr," and Kiki wisely held still, although she did pull her bag over her shoulder and set it before her. A quick glance told her her broom had survived the crash, luckily enough, and she flipped open her bag to dig out a towel.
"C'mere, Jiji," she said, and when he had done so, she gently toweled him off, rubbing the rainwater out of his fur as he purred.
He was back quickly, making it about three steps away from the door before realizing what a waste of time it would be for him to actually go get the towels rather than bring them to him. So as Kiki began towelling off her rather bedraggled friend, Aziraphale stepped back into the room, carrying an armful of soft warm bath sheets.
Draping one of them carefully around Kiki's shoulders, he frowned a little with worry at the cut, but it was hard to keep the frown when faced with the unexpected pleasure of seeing her again. "My dear, what brings you here? And tonight of all nights!"
Told you so, Jiji put in smugly as he began the laborious process of licking his fur dry and back into place.
Kiki pulled the towel around her shoulders, for now that the excitement was all over, she realized she really was soaked through and as cold from the wet as from the wildness of the ride.
"I would have sent word," she admitted, "but I figured it would be just as quick to come in person and more fun to surprise, although this wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I didn't think the storm would get so bad so quickly, and I thought I could make it in ahead of it -" She broke off and gave him a beaming smile, made a little absurd by the water dripping off the end of her nose. "I'm moving here to Tropolis!"
It was unlikely the clothes would require drying by morning, but Aziraphale decided not to say anything about that right now. He simply smiled and stepped over to give Kiki a light kiss on the forehead.
"It's a pleasure to have you here, my dear. Make yourself at home, and while you're washing up I'll make you a cup of hot tea."
Wilson set Jiji on the bed and gave the young witch a warm hug, echoing the angel's sentiments, before following Aziraphale out of the room.
The hot shower was a welcome change from the cold stinging rain - quite a luxury, really, and she couldn't keep from grinning as she pulled on her warm pajamas afterwards. Things had worked out so very well, she could hardly believe her luck.
When she got back into her room, Jiji was curled up on the bed.
I looked in on Pogo, he reported. He's a sleep, so I'll surprise him and wake him up in the morning. Jiji sounded almost wickedly eager about that.
While Wilson quickly collected up the clothing scattered about the house -- and the angel very studiously ignored the wicked grin the young doctor had given him over that -- Aziraphale brewed a cup of soothing lavendar tea for Kiki.
Tapping on the door to her room, he smiled to himself again at the amazing surprise the storm had brought into their lives.
"It's open," Kiki called over her shoulder. She picked up the skeleton key and hung it back around her neck, and gratefully took the tea Aziraphale held out to her. "And this, indeed, I have missed. No place to get a really good cup at home."

"Let me go get my med kit and just check you out. It's no small thing coming through a window like that."
It didn't really dawn on him, how she'd changed. She was Kiki...and he was simply glad to see her.
"Jiji, make sure she doesn't try to stand up till Phale or I get back to help her."
Winking, he stood up and moved quickly out of the room. Chances were Phale would be back before Wilson.
