Wednesday Morning, the Brownstone

May 17, 2006 15:19

As nice as it was to sleep in her own bed, Kiki rather thought it would be better to sleep in her own body. And although she would never, ever, have said it aloud, she also felt that her first time having a boy in her bed had not at all or even remotely been close to what she might have ever expected ( Read more... )

[ooc: Because I absolutely can not resist the crack... and love to live Wilson's day backwards.]

Wilson was coming down the stairs in his short, running shorts and a t-shirt getting ready to go down to Contender's Gym. Even though he knew that Kiki!Yazoo had gone to bed in Kiki's bed last night, he still startled a little when he caught a glimpse of the young man out of the corner of his eye.

"Eek." He squeaked, then turned to apologize.

"Sorry, Kiki I forgot for a moment and..." Pausing, Wilson turned quickly to look down at the top of the stairs, blushing.

"Uh.. Kiki? Um..." How to put this. "Boxers...kinda... gaping there, Poppet."

[OHMYGOD YOU ARE EVIL EVIL EVIL]

[And you know I love you for it.]

Kiki looked at him blankly for a moment, then realization dawned.

Long ago, Kiki had claimed her title as the queen of blushes. Even after the infamous Kama Sutra Discovery Blushing Contest she had with Lana, her rose-tinted tiara was unshakable. And today was not the day for her to be stripped of that title, even in a body not her own.

Forehead, cheeks, nose, neck, even her bare shoulders were in on the consipiracy to make her look like a fire engine, but a glimpse would be all that Wilson would really get as Kiki gave a squeal of horror, embarrassment and dismay and darted back into her room again, shutting her door hard behind her.

Muffled through the wood paneling came a stricken, "I'm not coming out of here until this is over, and then maybe not even THEN. Tell Yazoo that someone called for him yesterday morning, but I don't know who it was."

"Kiki." Wilson began in that age old sing song tone of 'there there it's not that bad'.

Setting down his change of clothes, he walked over to the door.

"Kiki...come on now... I mean, it's not like it's not something I see every day." Hmmm, that might not be the best tact to take. "Just, fold over the flap on the inside, give everything a little shake and you'll be fine. At least come down for breakfast? I'm making sausage links?"

Pause...wince.

Palming his face, Wilson gave the door an apologetic look.

"And when I say fold over the flap... I mean on that boxers not on the..."

"Uh, I mean

Yazoo slept quite well, all things considering. He managed to snag the nightgown he first woke up in and changed to sleep.

And when he emerged from the spare bedroom, he shoved on his hair and headed down the stairs to look for Kiki.

She was in the kitchen with Wilson, halfway through a stack of blueberry pancakes, and she nodded at Yazoo - god, how odd it was to watch herself walking around! But Yazoo had a keen eye; she was actually kind of... cute. So he had said.

"Morning," she said. Kiki couldn't help blushing as she thought about how her morning had gone already.

Stretching, Yazoo scratched at his stomach and flopped into the chair at the table. "Morning," he said softly.

"Sleep okay, I hope?" He was wearing, she noticed, the black satin, the one from Crowley. No one had ever seen - no, that wasn't true. Crowley had certainly seen her in it. Phoebe had, and Bel had, so what difference did it make if Wilson and Yazoo did as well? Kiki tried to forcibly check the blush she felt tingling on her cheeks.

"Yazoo - yesterday, there was a phone call, and I think it was for you. I didn't answer it. I was too busy being intimidated by your bike," she joked. "I'm sorry I forgot to tell you."

Out in the yard after pancakes, Kiki-Yazoo stood with her broom leaning against one shoulder. It was time for a flying lesson.

Yazoo-Kiki rubbed at his face. "I managed to get airborne and did get forward motion but," he pointed to the hedges and shrugged. "Control is the next thing, I think."

"You got aloft? Why, that's more than half the work right there!" Kiki grinned. "But yes, control is quite necessary. It's a matter of willpower."

She spent the next five minutes describing the basic mechanics of flight-by-broom. "More than anything, you need to stay focused. If you let yourself get distracted, the magic you use will disperse back out into the general currents of magic that are around us. Always keep at least some part of your mind tapped into that magical stream. Then, it's just a matter willing yourself the direction you wish to go. The harder you will it, the faster you'll go."

"Right. Concentration. Will. Right." Yazoo took a deep breath and nodded. Holding his hand out for the broom, he figured he'd give it another shot.
