Maybe it just started out as intro music until Japanese music producers got a whole of it and wanted to use it to make a single.

No denying it's the same. But I heard that both bands had the same music producer, so it's not that surprising. Stupid producer just couldn't come up with a new melody or thought it was too good to waste on just an intro piece. ;)
