According to the notice, routine passport processing could take 10 weeks instead of the previous six, and expedited processing could take four weeks instead of two weeks.

get them now before it gets worse.

It was already this bad well BEFORE this announcement.

Remember the panic I had with getting the kids' passports, which were innocently applied-for at the beginning of December, to be ready for a Mid-February trip? -- And those were just RENEWALS.
