In 7 days I’ll be with my mate again :D
Until then I’m afraid it will be as busy as it has been since my last post.
I can’t complain about work; everything has been running pretty smoothly even with the bus strikes. All I had to do is to change my working hours (starting and ending 3 hours earlier) and I might keep these new hours even when the strike is over.
At home it has been quite different. Last week I had to make sure that my den was child proof before my friend Sophie (Saturday morning). I also cleaned my summer clothes to be ready for the warm weather that we are having at the moment.
So, this Saturday she arrived with her little daughter (1½ YO). Upon arrival I went to do some grocery to buy the necessary for the little girl, came back home and I made the lunch. After lunch we went for a hike alongside the river and by the time we came back it was time to cook supper. Once the supper was ready, she decided that she would prefer try a small restaurant around my place so we left to eat burger and poutine (no, she liked what I cooked, she even ate some later on that night :P).
We ate, came back when her daughter started to tell us in her own way that she had enough. We watched Ice Age “The melting down” with her daughter and by the time she was asleep, it was time for me to go meet the rabbit and to go attend Mr. Uniform contest (since the president was outside town I had to show the color of our club in the crowd). Came back at the Dungeon around 3H30AM and we went to sleep.
Sunday morning I took care of the rabbit before heading back home, while the rabbit went to the furmeet (lucky him). I gulp the leftover salad from Saturday and Sophie and I went to look at a dog for them (in Terrebone). The dog was a sweet, bright and very active 10 month, black and white Border Colley. After playing with him for a while and making sure he was safe for her little girl we put his cage in the car, and we all came back home.
She wasn’t able to take care of the dog and her daughter at the same time So, I ended up baby sitting one or the other while trying to do everything I needed to like cooking the T-bones on the charcoals. As they watched Over the Edge, I cleaned my dishes. After putting her daughter in her bed, that she started to Watch Pirate of the Caribbean but we went to sleep before it was over.
Monday morning as I came to work, she went to a friend of hers and came back as I got home. Again I did the babysitter as I cooked the sausages (again on the charcoal). We were so burned out that we almost felt asleep before the baby as we watch “Happy feet”. I bid her my goodbyes before going to bed.
It is that Wednesday that my schedule changed and I went working early that day making sure not to disturb them as I was leaving. I came back home and started to pick up the big mess that their passage left behind. I had to do all the cleaning before Friday because I have more visit hitting my way this weekend.
So that is what happened until now. Friday and Saturday I will have a zeby to entertain and Saturday night I will take photo for Sir Ryan. Sunday I’ll be busy with my duties to the club until early evening. I will then come back home and do some more cleaning. After that, I’ll have three evenings, to fix the paws of my fursuit, pack my bags and make sure everything is almost ready for the visit of a certain raccoon and wolf as soon as I get back from Denver.
Thursday night I have to go to a workshop and Friday early morning I am leaving to finally visit my mate again. As soon as I land in Denver, the running continues. My mate is picking me up at the airport and we’ll rush to his place where I’ll change quickly before heading to the Convention. I am sure that he already has many plans for us at the convention and I look forward to see so many of the furs I met there last time.
Look at the time!!!!
Time to go and run again….
