As everything was coming back to normal, I have been hit by another plague. Leave it to man’s best friend to infest the den of this noble wolf. That meme's all about stereotypes, though, and I think the last item ("You think this survey is rather biased.") indicates it actually is at least somewhat tongue-in-cheek, too - after all, it really IS rather biased.

Granted, it could have been made a little more balanced, but I wouldn't go quite so far as calling it racist, and if I'd have to guess, I'd wager it probably was written by a US-American, too, which would really make it self-deprecating more than anything else.

Anyhow, good to hear you're winning the war against the little buggers, at least - things like that are really annoying. I've never had to deal with it, fortunately, but I had a scabies infection once, and that wasn't really pleasant, either. x.x

You might be right in saying that it might have been writen by an American. I am also suspecting that it had been writen by a youth or a young man who thinks he was being funny, but the line can sometimes be very thin between being funny and being insulting. This kind of funny is the type that bullies and other people use and is meant to hurt. Also it is the kind of joke that is insidious and that becomes ingrained in ones psyche (just like many commercials mark you without your knowledge subliminally ( ... )

As I said, it's about stereotypes, though, not about what things (or people) are actually like. It's not like I can't see where you're coming from, and I do agree it's somewhat unbalanced insofar as that it only seems to focus on negative stereotypes of the USA (which isn't true for the other places), but I still don't think it's THAT big a deal.

Ah well. :)
