Learning sign language is an interesting hobby. Sounds like you're starting with "A". Don't forget to put that you know some sign language on your resume. It's just the sort of thing that makes someone reading your resume remember you.

I do think that here in Quebec (well near the bigger cities) if you want to work, you can find work. You just need not to be too picky. Sadly with my position with Lupine in regard of immigration, I have to be somewhat picky if I want the process to be successful.
Knowing 40 words in a language is still a bit too short for me to brag about it lol but if the progress still keeping at a good paste, I might consider your advise and put it in my resume ;)

Here, things are not as bad as in the USA but we have seen better time. My hope are still good that I'll find a job before my situation becomes too serious.
