YOU are AWESOME for staying up with me Jojo. I have no idea how I'd have stayed up all night without our incessant "OMG SAM WINS EVERYTHING IN LIFE EVER" chat back and forth as we were both reading CC... which I cannot wait to finish today (because, dear god, you are right! It should be required reading for anyone in any fandom, but especially for those that usually limit themselves to purely canon fics as it is a lovely example of exactly how good something with a daring bit of outside-the-box imagination can be).
Also, I find it amusing you were so tired that you spelled squee wrong, but you managed obnoxiously just fine. heh.
Oooh, sounds like it has been thoroughly endorsed. What is it about?
Cartographer... you know, one of my TVN characters is one. I find it interesting as that is not a popular vocation for a fanfic character (or really, any fictional character!).
So.... who's in it, what's the genre, time/era, complete or WIP?
In the summer after Harry's sixth year, Harry and Remus uncover a section of the Marauder's Map which has been hidden for the past twenty years, releasing a carbon copy of sixteen-year-old Sirius Black from its depths. As they prepare for the impending war, Sirius must find a place for himself in this new world, Harry must find a way to destroy Voldemort, and Remus must face his own past while trying to build a tenuous future with Tonks. PG through R rating, RL/NT, RW/HG, HP/SB. Post-HBP, contains extensive spoilers.
While the Harry/Sirius thing could be off putting (and it was for me, for the longest) once you give it a chance, it is so well handled that you probably will find yourself wanting it to happed. R/T is adorable in it, Hermione is brilliant, Sirius rocks out loud, I like his Harry, and Remus is LOVE. It's complete as well.
Hmmm, I may try it out a bit later (I've SO many to read now, not to mention work on my own).
Yes, for me the HP-SB is a bit off-putting, as it is just not my thing, but I will most likely go ahead and give it a whirl based on your opinions. Just may take a bit of time. ;-)
