I spent all of last night and part of this morning cleaning out this damned Randex/SDBot variant worm, which I've apparently had for quite some time. Do yourselves a favor and check if you have any processes running that are named ati2vid.exe or SUCHOST.EXE; this thing doesn't get picked up by Norton,is about 128 KB in size, and lives inside the ( Read more... )

And the cheese distribution machine! I saw it on the trash can lid and asked Sanel if we were trashing it. I had such hopes!

Yes, that problem, as well as a plethora of other security issues, is the bane of windows xp users everywhere.

(Insert Linux rant here)

Or alternately, you could always go back to Win2k Pro. I happen to have a copy...

Yeah, I'd use linux if I could still game on it without having to go through the b.s. that wine requires, or pay the 75 bucks for the Transgaming version of WineX. I've got Mandrake 10 on my dual-P3 and it's great, I just can't game on it and getting video stuff to work is a big pain in the ass on Linux anyway you try. And 2K Pro still blows in comparison to XP, despite my irritations.
