 friday i wanted to just get my bangs trimmed a bit. i usually go to my stylist because it's free just for that small trim, but that's in bethesda so i decided to risk it and go to the haircuttery across the parking lot from my work. it was a little frustrating having to explain excatly where to cut, just here, just a little more, a little more. i

Aw, that sucks! Your coworkers are great though. I'm glad they stepped up and were awesome. And your customer seemed super nice as well.

For the record, that happens to me all the time! I am always forgetting my wallet or money. Usually, I just ask to speak to the manager and then I explain to her that I have to go get money and will come back. Most of the time I leave them with some kind of collateral that's really not worth anything to anyone except me (ie my cell phone or my drivers license). Or else I just write down my info for them. In all honesty, at least half of them look shocked when I actually do come back.

-BUT- speaking of Hair Cuttery, I saw the same thing happen to a guy there one time. Apparently, they didn't take his specific type of credit card, so he left one of his shoes that he was wearing while he walked a few blocks to the ATM in only one shoe. Pretty freaking impressive.

yeah i was so nervous i didn't think of leaving anything and coming back, until later. my boss also suggested leaving emergency cash somewhere in my car.

thank you so much, but that's a bit out of my way. kit's friend jackie is in the robert lewis salon school and she did my hair a few months ago, the whole deal, dye, highlights, cut. it was a bit of a messy process because we were at her house but it was fun. i think the next time i get the chance i will go back to her. i like to support friends, especially if they are students. plus there is another hair cuttery right by our house.
