I didn't recognize most of the animals so I didn't know if there'd be the same plants!

There are a lot of really weird plants, but there are normal ones around too. Mostly just a mix of everything.

Doesn't it? [Magic that can potentially be performed by someone non-magical. It's immensely appealing to him. He isn't sure of whether he has the capability, though there's no better way to find out than to state his desire and see what people have to say.] I've been trying to learn about different ingredients on my own, but it'd be ideal to have him around if I ever tried. I haven't asked him yet though.
