Comments: I really love to write An café, it sure been a while though…

“Miku can you please hurry up?” Teruki yelled as he was in a hurry packing down things in a big box in the kitchen.

“But I can’t find Nyappy-chan, I’ve been looking everywhere. You know I can’t leave without her.”

“Yeah I know but the moving company will be here in just a few minutes, so hurry up and find her. God, everything is a total mess. Takuya could you give me a hand over here?”

Mikus house was turned completely upside down as everybody was busy packing. He used to share the apartment with Bou, but after the guitarist had quitted and moved out, he no longer felt comfortable. He and Bou had shared so many happy memories, memories he was constantly reminded of as long as he stayed there. About the same time Kanon had moved to a bigger place and it was decided Miku would move in with him.
Miku couldn’t help but feel a little sad when he watched his whole life being stuffed down in boxes, but he was sure he could get a new start at Kanon’s place. He and the other man were close friends and this would just be an opportunity for them to get to know each other even better.

Takuya was sitting close to Teruki as they occupied themselves with the packing. Close enough for him to feel the other mans warm breath against his face, something that caused him to blush against his will. He was the youngest member and Teruki the oldest so of course he started to look up to him when he joined the group. But as of lately he had started to feel something else when he was close to the other man. He wished these feelings would disappear as Teruki probably just saw him as a young, inexperienced boy.

“I’m starting to get worried, she’s completely vanished.” Miku was standing in the doorway, looking as he was about to cry.

“Easy Miku. She can’t just have van-” Teruki got interrupted as they all heard a familiar sound.

“That was Nyappy, I’m sure of it. Come here girl, where are you?” Miku looked around the kitchen and then suddenly watched in horror as one of the boxes made a little movement. “Oh no, this can’t be happening! Teruki don’t tell me you…

“Oh shit…. She must’ve sneaked in in one of those when I wasn’t watching. You don’t actually think I would put her there by free will do you?” Miku didn’t answer as he was too busy freeing Nyappy from her paperbox prison. The sound of the doorbell interrupted all of them, and as a Miku went to open he passed Teruki an evil glance. “This is Miku we’re talking about here, he usually can’t hold a grudge for more than a couple of minutes, right?” Teruki looked at Takuya with an unusually worried expression.

“Like you said, Miku isn’t a person to hold a grudge, he’ll get over it.” Takuya placed a hand on Terukis shoulder and felt happiness when the other man didn’t remove it. His happiness only increased when the other man placed his hand over his own and fired of a gentle smile, causing his hart to beat just a little faster. The moment was quickly interrupted though as Miku stormed into the kitchen.

“Hey guys! The moving company says we can ride with them to Kanon’s place, isn’t that great now we don’t have to call for a cab! Hurry up you two so we can get out of here.”

When Miku had left Takuya smiled at Teruki. “See what I mean?”

“Yeah thank god he is that way. Any way lets get this finished!”
Miku was known for his happy easygoing personality but Teruki had seen an other side of him as well. After Bous departure Miku had been a total mess, and he and Kanon had been really worried. It was bad enough to lose Bou, but without Miku An café just wouldn’t be able to continue.  Fortunately Miku got back on track and the band had been able to continue. But Teruki was glad Takuya hadn’t seen that side of Miku.

“Seriously, we should have hired someone to do the unpacking, I can’t find anything!”

“Told you to mark the boxes didn’t I?”

“… Well that doesn’t matter right now. Miku and the others will be here soon and it still looks like an earthquake happened here.”

Kanon and Yuuki we’re in the new apartment, trying to make it look more like a home and less like a party-wrecked dumpster.

“We can’t live here when things look like this, and I promised everything would be ready when they arrived. And there’s only one bed so far. Why did Miku have to try his beds durability at a time like this? He better not come near mine, I’m not planning on sleeping on the couch.”

“Miku’s quite capable of making a place a total mess himself, I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that. And he probably wont mind spending the first night on the couch, beats sleeping on the floor ne?”

“Mmm, guess you’re right, I worry too much…. Hey, did you hear that? I think a car stopped outside. Dammit, please don’t let it be them…”

“It’s them alright” Yuuki exclaimed as he watched the moving-truck thru the window, and not long after the doorbell sang out an almost torturing long signal.

“Why can’t Miku understand that he just need to push that thing once, he just have to hold it in for like five minutes…” Kanon mumbled under his breath as he hurried towards the door , trying to put the doorbell out of it’s misery.

The second Kanon opened the door Miku flung himself around the others neck, hugging him tight. “Kanon I’m so happy to see you, this car ride was so boooring.”

“I’m really happy to see you to, but you… nearly suffocate me… “ As Kanon tried to shake of the overly energetic vocalist he didn’t notice the box behind him, and just a second later he fell on it, a loud crashing sound emerged from it as the two bodies crushed whatever was inside it.

“Jeez, Kanon, you really are a klutz.” Teruki was standing in the doorway giggling so hard he could barely stand upright.

“What was inside the box?” Takuya eyed the scene nervously.

The bassist let out a long sigh, “Let’s just say we’ll be dining on paper plates tonight.”

Once things got unpacked and put in their proper place, the apartment didn’t actually look all that bad. But Kanon saw that something was still missing.

“Miku, weren’t you supposed to bring your couch?”

“Ah, right… Uhm, you see Nyappy-chan had an “accident” a couple of days ago, and that wasn’t the kind of couch you can clean so…”

“But isn’t she housetrained?” Kanon looked down at the little fur ball jumping at his feet, a look of uncertainty  on his features.

“Of course she is!” Miku picked up his dog, holding her protectively as if defending her from a bully. “But that day I was really concentrated on guitar playing and I kind of forgot to take her for a walk… But I’ll just sleep on the floor until I can get a new couch and bed, don’t worry Kanon!” Miku fired of one of his adorable smiles and Kanon just couldn’t stay angry at him.

“I have a sleeping bag here somewhere, guess you can use it for the time being.”

“Really? Hey, I know! Can’t everyone stay over so we can have a sleepover-moving in-party?”

“Yeah, I like that idea, I think we should do it!” Everyone’s eyes turned to an unusually energetic Takuya. He was of pretty shy nature and didn’t speak up very often so this came to a surprise to the rest of the group.

“But I don’t have a sleeping bag…”

“I know Teruki, but mine is really big, so if you don’t mind we could always share it…” That statement made the other three members look at each other with understanding glances. They all new Takuya liked Teruki, even if he tried his best to hide it. But now when he was able to be this bold they figured they could might as well help out.

“I think that sounds like a great idea, and since the plates got smashed, how about calling for pizza?”

The rest of the day was spent with unpacking, and even more unpacking with Miku flailing around and not really helping out much. But for the time being things were pretty calm with just Miku, Teruki and Kanon relaxing in front of the TV as the other two had went to get their sleeping bags. But the calmness was interrupted as Mikus phone started to wring in a loud tune. Something in the vocalist’s expression changed as he saw who the caller was and he hastily excused himself from the room.

“You think it was Bou?”

“Bet it was. I know it sound harsh, but sometimes I wish Bou would just stop calling him, I know how much Miku likes him, but these calls only make him feel bad… I know I can never be Bou but I kinda just hopes that he could see that I like him just as much as Bou did.”

The drummer put a reassuring hand on the bassists‘ shoulder, a gentle smile on his lips.  “He knows, believe me. When Bou left, you were always there for Miku, I’m not sure if he would’ve wanted to continue the band if you hadn’t talked him into it.” Kanon nodded his head slowly and hoped the drummer was right.
The both of them resumed watching the TV but when Miku still hadn’t returned after the program was over Kanon grew restless.

“He’s been in that room for over thirty minutes…”

“So? Maybe they’re just having a really long conversation. Just leave him be.”

“I’m gonna go check on him, I swear if Bou has said anything to upset him…” Kanon strutted determinately towards the room Miku had disappeared into and Teruki muttered something about impatient  youngsters.

When entering the room Kanon had expected Miku to still be on the phone, but the sight that greeted him sent a cold chill down his spine. The vocalist was curled up on the windowsill, staring out at nothing in special, tears silently falling down his cheeks, his body slightly shaking. Kanon wanted nothing else than just hug him tight, saying everything would be ok, but instead he just stood in the doorway as if paralyzed.

“Hey… What happened? Miku showed no reaction, as if he hadn’t heard a word. He just kept staring into empty space. A muffled sniffle broke Kanon from his frozen state and he went over to the other man, running his hand soothingly over the vocalists back. That action seemed to wake something up inside the Miku as well. The sniffles were no longer muffled and his whole body shook violently. “Please, don’t cry. Was it Bou? What the hell did he say to you!?” Kanon got in front of Miku and grabbed him by the shoulders, staring into his eyes as if trying to force out an answer.

“I… I’m an….” Miku tried to form a coherent sentence between the crying hiccups. “I’m an awful person…”

“No! No you’re not. Listen Miku, I’ve known you for so many years now, and you’re always the one who keeps the rest of the group happy. Did Bou say you’re an awful person?”

“N..no…he…” a knew attack of emotion hit Miku and it didn’t seem like he would stop crying.

Shit, I’ve never seen him like this before, what the hell can I say to make him feel better… No matter how hard Kanon thought of consoling words, he just couldn’t seem to find the right ones. So instead he acted on his own emotions and gently placed his hand on the others cheek, bringing the vocalists face closer to his own and eventually closing the small gap between them by carefully indulging the other into an ever so soft kiss. Mikus violent sobbing gradually died out and Kanon didn’t know if he was imagining things but it actually felt like Miku was kissing back. Kanon was the one to end it though and he almost started to laugh men he saw the others startled expression.

“What… was that?”

“Uhm, not what you were expecting?” Kanon fidgeted nervously on his sleeve, not sure if he really should’ve gone through with previous act.

“Well maybe it was just what I needed.” Miku squeezed Kanon’s hand reassuringly, giving a gentle but shy smile. The bassist was just about to say something when interruption came in the form of a bored drummer.

“Hey you guys, did you get stuck in there or something? I think Nyappy-chan is trying to chew her way through your PS3 Kanon…” Kanon completely forgot what he was about to say and darted out to save his most precious possession.

A couple of hours later all members were back together in the apartment busily playing truth or dare. This round the bottle stopped at Takuya and he glared nervously at Miku who was known to give out especially embarrassing commands.  He was too afraid to choose truth, not knowing what could come out of it.

“Ok, dare.”

“So it’s dare, ne? Alright, you have to give Teruki a kiss!”

The guitarist stared at the vocalist in cheer horror. “No way, you can’t ask me to do that! Come up with something else.”

“Ok, you have to dress up like a girl and go to that creepy guy on the third floor and chat him up.” Miku watched Takuya squirm with a devious grin. “Come on, we don’t have all night.” Takuya sat quiet for a few a while longer, then got up on his feet and promptly walked over to Teruki, then surprising everyone in the room when he grabbed the sides of the drummers head, pressing their mouths together with unexpected force, almost knocking Teruki over. When Takuya broke the kiss he grinned back at a rather perplexed Miku with a blushing but happy face.

“Haha! Looks like he wasn’t as innocent as you thought, ne Miku?”

“I suppose you’re not the only expert around Yuuki.”

“Hey! I’m telling you I’m not gay!” Miku just laughed at Yuukis flustered expression, knowing he could always succeed in pestering his friend. Teruki still looked like he wasn’t sure what had hit him, but he had an arm around Takuya and it didn’t seem like he was in a hurry to remove it. Somebody was missing though and Miku guessed Kanon had gone out for a smoke. Deciding to join him he left the apartment stepping outside being greeted by the chilly April air. He found Kanon standing slouched against a light pole just about to finish his cigarette. The clear moonlight was reflected in the bassist hair which draped down over half his face like a black silk curtain. God, he’s beautiful, why have I never noticed before? Suddenly feeling shy Miku almost thought about retreating back into the apartment, but it was to late as the other man lay eyes on him.

“Hi, did the game drain you of evil ideas?”

“Naw, I just needed some fresh air. You know, about what happened before…. Do you regret it?”

“If I thought I would regret it I wouldn’t have done it in the first place.” Kanon had walked over to Miku and his hand gently pushed some hair from the vocalists face only to lower it down over his arm. “If you’re happy then I’m happy you know. But what did Bou say to upset you that badly?” Miku quietly stared down at the ground for a while before finally answering.

“He said it’s for the best if the two of us don’t see each other again…”

“Really? Well you know what, I think that’s an excellent idea.” Kanon was surprised to feel Mikus arm tense  under his touch.

“What? I can’t believe you just said that!” He pushed the others hand away and took a few steps backward.

“Well, he doesn’t make you happy. You’re always miserable when you have had contact with him.” Kanon tried to grab the vocalists arm again but the other wriggled away.

“But you know how much he means to me, I thought you if anybody would understand that.”

“I do understand, but I just want to see you happy. Please Miku try to understand…” Miku eyed him with a stoic look upon his face.

“I’m sorry Kanon.” and with that he took of running, first Kanon wanted nothing more than to chase after him, but at second thought that would probably only make things worse. How the hell could things turn bad so quickly?

The bassist received some curious looks when he entered the living room alone.

“Did Miku get kidnapped on the way or what?” Kanon tried desperately to think something up.

“He just remembered that he forgot something back at his old apartment, so he’s on his way there now.”

“At this time? It’s 23.30 pm, it will take him hours.” Teruki didn’t look like was buying the lie and Kanon wasn’t sure how to save the situation.

“Well Miku isn’t exactly known for his overly logic thinking pattern so…”

“That is true. Anyhow I’m not gonna wait for him to come back, we have band practice tomorrow so we should start thinking about sleep soon.”

“You really do sound like an old man Teruki!” Takuya giggled. Teruki answered by tackling the younger man, playfully kissing his cheek. Kanon could see at least one couple seemed to have found happiness that evening.

____________________________

It was now late night but sleep still hadn’t claimed Kanon as he was occupied with thoughts of guilt. Miku still hadn’t returned and he had know idea about were he had went, what if something had happened to him? At least one more hour passed and Kanon was almost on the verge of sleep when he heard a light creek in the bedroom door and the bed weighed down as someone positioned himself next to him.

“Hey, you asleep?…” Kanon felt a sting of happiness when he heard the voice belonged to Miku. For a moment he had actually feared their friendship had been ruined.

“Yeah, but where the hell did you go?” Kanon turned around and tried to steady his gaze on Mikus in the dark room.

“I went to see Bou and-”

“You did what!? Miku I can’t bel-”

“I went to see Bou and I told him that I’m ending whatever it was we had. I said were not going to see each other again, that it’s for the best of both of us.” Now when his eyes had adjusted to the dark Kanon could see that Mikus cheeks were wet with tears. He grabbed the smaller man and pulled him on top of himself, hugging him tight. Miku sought out the other mans lips in the dark. This kiss was needier and more passionate than the one they had shared earlier, but both of them felt this wasn’t the time to take things further as the rest of the group were sleeping on the other side of the door. Miku just made himself comfortable next to other man and Kanon could feel his steady heartbeat and body heat as he wrapped an arm around him, and for the moment, that was all he needed
