Confession: I didn't watch 15x02. The trailer for it looked abominably bad, and spoilers I read only solidified my choice. But, wow, this storyline! I feel like I'm watching a funhouse version of SPN. (spoiler: I hate funhouses) I didn't even watch it and I'm mad about Kevin, but I never stopped being mad about Kevin.
At the same time, I'm all, I LOVE ALL OF YOUR FACES I WILL MISS YOU. If we don't get super-powered goddess Rowena, Queen of Hell, though, I'm going to be Very Mad. (Or at least it needs to be left open as a possibility. And Billie reaps God = Rowena + Billie ruling the Universe forever!)
And as much as I find the entire "storyline" laughably bad, I still had Many Feelings about Sam killing Rowena (and holding her, them holding hands, Sam's faaaaace)-and surprisingly about Castiel killing "Jack" (wow, that was gruesome). I had no feelings at all about Ketch being dead (and also, super gruesome) but I am sad about female demon (didn't catch her name) being dead, because the actress was cool.
I'm... not really into Dean breaking up with Cas, partly because it's somewhat unfair that he's blaming Cas for any of this, but mostly because he really, really should have blamed Cas for a whole bunch of awful things he did before. (I recently rewatched S6 and part of S7.) They acted the hell out of it, though, and the dialogue was well-written, I thought-so much so that it served to highlight how much of the time they phone it in when it comes to dialogue.
I also had feelings about "You and Sam have each other." ♥ ♥ ♥
In short, I sort of feel like they decided to set the show on fire for the last season, but given its long and storied career of dumb and crazy, what else would I have expected?
