An impression of
CALLIOPE
"The eldest of the Muses, she is Eloquence, and thus, governs heroic and epic poetry, and her eloquence has served to calm quarrels even amongst the surliest of Gods. She is crowned in gold, and holds a roll of parchment or stylus and tablet. Hers is the scent of creative inspiration, and it is a boon to writers, poets and arbitrators: lavender and bright mint with bergamot, verbena, thyme and a touch of sweet orange and warm almond."
In the bottle: I can smell the lavender, but it's been sweetened quite a bit, possibly with the orange and the almond. I can't detect the mint, or the herbs.
Wet on the wrist: Strong orange, with some of the bergamot coming through, and perhaps a hint of thyme and verbena on the right wrist.
Dry on the wrist: As with all the scents I've tried so far, this is becoming powdery on me, although more so on the left wrist than the right, which retains some of the green scents.
Overall: Better than Casanova, but not as good as St Germain, so a 7/10
