Though I want to point out he rags on Lutherans all the time, and I couldn't be bothered to go protest.

A friend of mine has been posting non-stop about this controversy. He's a Catholic theologian, so I guess he cares what the Pope things. However, it makes me nuts to think that 1500 year-old religious disputes - MINUTIA, HONESTLY - would still make people violent. Some days I'm ok with J.C.,Mohammed, etc. and some days I think that organized religion is the human race's kill switch.

What really angers me is that the Papal Nunciate is right around the corner from the US Embassy in Jakarta. So, all these angry protesters are ****ing up traffic. And, at the end of the day, that's what I really care about. LOL
