Oh, man. What a fucking world. Yeah, there is corruption everywhere, but in Germany could someone like Leo Kirch become Bundeskanzler? The reason why I'm always bitching about Italy isn't that our polititians are corrupted: I'm very well aware politics is a dirty, dirty business; what pisses me off is that our laws allow people like Berlusconi to do whatever they fucking want.

And about Kohl's young wife, I'll just mention one person: Sarkozy. He started a trend, it seems - see Putin. *rolls eyes*

I guess the only reason why Kirch never became a politician himself was, because he had friends so high up - and for a long, LONG time never encountered any resistance, while building the media-imperium he used to have.
He preferred pulling the ropes in the background, making him extra-dangerous, sort of the Rupert Murdoch of Germany. Who, by the way, influences international media and politics, hell, even policy-making, in a very scary way nowadays

Jo, das wusste ich wohl. Aber ausgerechnet diese drei als Gespann ist trotzdem mal ein sehr... illusteres Bild. Sagt eine Menge über die Seilschaften der Mächtigen nicht nur in diesem Land. Noch sinnbildlicher und ähnlich erschreckend, dass sich alle stattdessen lieber über die Frauen der Mächtigen unterhalten...

Jaja, ich und mein Weltschmerz... Da müsste man glatt attac beitreten. Doof, dass die auch keine Lösungen haben - und Chavez allen Ernstes in den Himmel loben. *seufz*

Ich kann dir zum Thema Macht/Herrschaft nur empfehlen, mal ein Soziologie-Seminar zu belegen. ;)

Übrigens, Idealismus und Machtwillen schließen sich nicht aus. Und Idealismus muss nicht immer gut sein, kann auch schnell zu Verblendung führen.

Seilschaften und sich selbst reproduzierende Eliten machen mir mehr Angst. Vermutlich bin ich schon zu lange selbst in der (Hochschul- & Lokal-)Politik. XD
