SO they are doing road construction on the main road by where I live. But they totally blocked any way of getting out of my road, and being that it is a dead end road they only way off it is on the main road. I am VERY pissed about this cause I have things to do today but I can't do them cause I can't leave my road. I can't even walk across the ( Read more... )

YES!!! They *do* legally need to leave an access for cars on your street. If they are still blocking you, just call 9-1-1 to complain about it and they will fine the company that's blocking your street. I am in the construction industry and we have to go to extreme measures to ensure cars (read "emergency vehicles") can get by ... if they can't we get *HUGE* fines.

Hey Thanks for the info.. Finally at about 6 pm when they stopped working for the day they made a way for us to get in and out... So thank god for that even though it was too late for me to go where it was I needed to get out for. It is a good thing I didnt have to work earlier yesterday or I would have been slightly even more pissed off..
