Darcy spent her time worrying about Ford... and cleaning incessantly. She'd relapsed badly while he was gone and now she was back to being completely retentive about the state of Ford's house. The place had never been cleaner. At any rate, she was busy, and helping with Ford's recovery. She convinced her work that she had a family emergency and had to take some time off for someone's illness. She'd be back at work in a week ( ... )

Ford let his boss inside, though not without some apprehension. What was the man doing there?

Flynn was as business-like polite as always, but his mere presence was still commanding. Casper was in the house as well, which was the only reason why Francis hadn't bolted up to his room again. The little man was instead hiding behind Casper, muttering worriedly.

Ford ushered Flynn into the living room. He had a feeling he wasn't going to like what his boss had to say, so he might as well be comfortable while he listened. There were some pleasantries exchanged, and Casper set out to make them all some coffee. Flynn hadn't said anything about wanting to talk to Ford alone, so the rest of them sort of... hovered. And all the while, Francis kept on muttering more and more.

"Ford..." Flynn started, now with a cup of coffee in his hands. "The reason I came here is to talk with you about your duties."

Then something rather unexpected happened.

"ENOUGH!" The shout was so unexpected that both Ford and Casper jumped. Even Flynn turned his head sharply to look at the source of the shout.

It was Francis who stood there, straight and his hands clenched into fists, clouds of confusion gone from his eyes as he glared at Flynn. "It's enough! For twenty years you've made him be your dog! For twenty years he's been through hell and back, and has killed more people for you than any other! And twice - twice! has he been dragged back from the brink of death, or worse! It's fucking enough!"

Darcy was just as shocked as the rest of them. Francis breaking through had her mouth dropped open, eyes wide as she stared at him. It was painful to see him struggle, hands in fists and now fighting for Ford's future when it took so much for him to stay that way.

She could hardly draw her eyes away from him, but risked it so that she could see Flynn's face. That man that seemingly tortured this entire group to the brink... she had no sympathy for him.
