Darcy, as one could imagine, was practically a mess. It took, everything in her to not only remain calm for herself, but also for her sister. She was still in a fragile state and she had to project everything she had to keep Quinn still and calm ( ... )

It was like a puzzle at first, sifting through the woman's mind, analyzing what he found and weighing it against what was in Darcy's head. It took a while, longer than Casper would have liked, to figure out how this had to be done. When he finally understood, it was almost too simple.

The one missing piece that completed the puzzle.

Without words and without voice he half informed and half warned the others that it would happen quickly now. From Darcy to Casper to Ford, finally finally back into Quinn, clicking into place.

There's nothing like having someone filter through your head when you never asked them to. This wasn't the first time Quinn had this happen to her and she had a bad feeling that it wouldn't be the last. As they moved through her, the three of them a bizarre trifecta of healing, she wanted to scream, but it wasn't until there was a final click.

Her mind raced through a series of thoughts, almost as if it was processing all the years she'd been lost. This maybe lasted less than a couple seconds, but it tore a scream from her chest, arching up and eyes wide.

"Ahhhh!" she screamed, the sound a shrill tear through the air.

Darcy winced, her hold faltering momentarily, but she reestablished her calm. As it had all clicked together, she felt the key leave her head and the weight of the world lift.

Quinn sat up straight, Darcy catching her in her arms as the girl seemed to reorient herself, heaving breaths.

Casper kept a firm hold of the link, forcing it to keep and making Ford and Darcy follow as Quinn lurched forward to sit upright. He didn't want to add the shock of a suddenly severed connection to the trauma the younger woman was in, but rather decided to give it at least a few seconds to gradually fade out before he let go both physically and mentally. As he did, both him and Ford fell back, Ford even seemingly collapsing onto his back on the floor.

Before Casper slid his shields around him he felt Ford doing just that, locking up tightly. No-one of the men said anything. For now, this was a moment for the sisters.
