Sometimes You Just Give Up

I know its a just a sentence. But this sentence can mean soo much. " Sometimes you just give up" now what do you think? Someone killing there self? Some one giving up on hw or school related things? Or just simply some one giving up on life?
 Makes you wonder when some one says " i give up"
