A friend of mine, Tom Weaver, got diagnosed with brain cancer two days ago. He's 17.

That's terrible. I'm so sorry for you and your friend. I don't think I can articulate properly what I think and feel about this, just that I wish it hadn't happened.

That is horrible, and I am sorry. Pure tragic is quite an experience.. This is all to say the least, of course.
