......great toaster oven caught fire........Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!I am so done with this kitchen reno even though it's not done. How friggin stupid does someone have to be to not notice they stripped the wood on cabinet doors while cleaning them? You can see exactly where the cloth was and what motion they used. What caused the fire? I feel I missed or forgot a post somewhere.

Thankfully the basement was unfinished, sadly that's been the only good thing so far.
The repairs should have been completed in April, by the May long weekend at the latest (19th).
So far I've had the insulation replaced in the basement, the kitchen and new drywall in the kitchen. Still no floor, no paint, no new roof, and more damage due to the contractors than from the flood.
I knew this would take time as the ice had to completely melt before starting repairs. At this rate I'm thinking I may have my house back for Christmas.
I'm hoping the insurance guy can come by later today to see the new damage and the slow rate things are getting done. If I knew any contractors in my area I'd switch, since I don't I'm stuck with the one recommended by the insurance company and waiting.....orz
