Q: Let's say that someone, for the sake of argument her name's Manda, was thinking about buying tickets to the Coca Cola 600. But she has no idea where to sit. Does anyone have any suggestions?

A: stickhandleme: On Chad Knaus' lap.

Wonder how much that seat would go for? First born? Well worth it.

Not... if I'm sitting on Chad's lap, no.

Actually, it's an anniversary thing, so... just me and the Panda are going to be making this trip..

My favorite place to sit in the stands is between the start/finish line and turn one. This is near the end of Pit road, and offers a great view of the pit crews working. (And, if you're lucky, a really great crew like that of the 48 will be directly across from you!)

I wouldn't go for the seats that are REALLY REALLY high over here though, for the simple reason they look freaking HOT, and the May sun in Charlotte can be a killer.

I've had friends really love the turn 2 tower, and turn 4 as well, but I like being able to see the pits.

Of course, I haven't sat in the stands in Charlotte in many years, having done the infield thing most recently, but that was always my favorite place to sit.

OK, I just pulled up a diagram of Lowe's. I've sat in the GM and Ford grandstands, and liked the Ford one better (closer to turn one and you could see the "race off pit road" better.

Personally, I'd avoid the upper terrace.

The Diamond Tower are the turn 2 seats, I've heard good things, as well as the fourth turn terrace.

And, on an unrelated note, and proof I can't stop replying to your same entry, I spent the past hour writing down all of The Chad's penaltys since 2002, including the F-bomb fine. I'm going to highlight my rulebook. Now, I just have to make a list of the things that weren't penalties at the time, but became new rules.

I have much more important things to do with my time, but alas, I'm obsessed.

*shakes my head* They fined him for dropped the f-bomb. That's just... is there, like, a swear jar at HMS? Because I think there should be. Boy's got a mouth like a trucker. I thought I was hearing things when I heard him swear the first time I listened to that hot-ass voice...

September 23, 2002. $5000 fine for inappropriate language according to 12-4-A. Yup. Pretty awesome. I think he said it in a radio interview or something... obviously, this was before the Junior Shit thing.
