That is why I voted for Kerry. At least Pennsylvania did its part. Deficit spending has been around since the days of FDR. Our National debt has been mounting ever since. I don't think there is any avoiding the fact that we won't have social security no matter what anyone does. But it sure as hell doesn't make any sense to start a war for no reason whatsoever and drive us into debt even more. Everybody hates Americans, and they have every right to.
