one particular moral intricacy of our society that has always troubled me somewhat:

why is it acceptable for good people to do bad things?

is it, though? i mean, i'm even *more* disappointed when someone normally okay does something shitty. at least with an asshole, they're being themselves

It seems to be acceptable because society tends to view the good person as not being themeselves when they do something bad, and they assume that they will see the error of their ways.

Good person or bad person, bad deeds should still be punished.
