I remember back in '00 when I was working at the mall and I saw a badass book at the Waldens. It was called 'Son of a Preacher Man' and there was a guy with plugs in his ears and sleeve tats. I got the book because of the cover alone. Who says never judge a book by its cover!?
Anyways. It was Jay Bakker's book. It changed my life. Seriously. Ive read it numerous times. Ive even passed it along to about 15 friends who all believe the book to be amazing.
It got me believing in church and religion again and the true meaning of God's grace.
I was even fortunate enough to go to a few of his speakings at Cornerstone Festival and even speak with him for about an hour. His church, Revolution is trully inspirational. And his background gives him the street cred needed to reach some of the youth of today.
