flag porter is old style and it rules. very little carbination and a really unique flavor. i just found 'st peters old style porter' which is a faithful copy of a 1770 porter. i think, without googling, that flag is 1880? st peters also has very little carbination and has a unique flavor that is almost like flag but a little weaker. flag is better
