Everytime I think of something I want to write or post, I consider it for a moment and realize its completely self-indulgent. Maybe thats all these journals are.
Maaaaybe its time to delete this thing.

i often feel that way about any activity. it's quite an ethical/aesthetical challenge. i think self indulgence need not be a bad thing, so long as it is done with dignity, honesty and meaning.

That sounds so... christian (no offense). Who cares how you spend your time? It's your life. If you need to let a little steam off or just try to sort out your thoughts, who should tell you that it is a waste of time, that you should be doing bigger and more meaningful things? Journal for yourself. Self-exploration, knowing yourself as completely as you can... those are things one should strive for (in my opinion, anyways). To take five or ten minutes out of one's day to further that is no sin.

What's wrong with self-indulgence? Everyone needs a little.

hhah trust me i take more of my fair share. the thing thats troubling me is the fact that self indulgence through this medium forces a plethora of other people into experiencing it haha.
