I agree. Many stores will not sell Mature titles to minors and it should be the responsibility of the parent(s) to decide if their child is capable of playing certain games. I don't think retailers should have to agree to discontinue sales of a game to appease mini-van driving mothers. Sen. Lieberman tried to pass legislature to restrict certain games he and others identified as violent in 1996 or 1997. It was ridiculous how it implied the federal gov't needed to take action where parents failed to. It's also part of what made the 2000 election such a shitty one.

Seriously-- when someone fucks up like that, everyone who didn't do anything to provoke this or cause this gets punished too. Gamers will have more laws imposed on their gaming experience, maybe even having to import or order games instead of going to the store and showing some ID. Why should Rockstar and the creators of Manhunt and Sony all suffer especially now that the game isn't even linked to the murder? So far it's been nothing but great publicity, and as bad as I feel for the mother of the victim... she is looking for more people to blame.
