I Want to be a Reporter.

So, I'm packing up my place in St. Henri and I'm getting all ready to move to the weird little house in the Village with Britt and Andrew. I don't have a bed yet, but I'm working on that. I don't really have any boxes, but I don't have all that much here that really needs to be put into boxes. The pictures are still up on the walls and I have ( Read more... )

Hi claire, all your millions of options sound pretty cool. and you probably would make a pretty awesome journalist - i can totally see that. also, just because you're good at music (which you definitely are, just to boost your ego a bit, you're pretty increidble at it) doesn't mean that it and you are made for each other. and theory's a pain. to tell the truth, one of the reasons why i didn't audition for any music faculties anywhere was because of my relationship with that grade 3 harmony. go excite yourself with whatever you choose!

and oh, chocolateering classes would be so awesome.

what's the latest science experiment with teh wierd roommate?

love,
Emily

Ditto on the music thing for me. It didn't help that my horn teacher and I clashed in every possible way. It's really disappointing because for the last 4 years that was all I wanted to do, study music, and it just didn't work out.

I know I don't know you very well, but I do know that you're really damn intelligent, and what I found the most bothersome about music was that all it was was music, and a lot of the students had that attitude that all that was important in the world was music. It was so nice to be alone on the weekends and not have to hear something about theory homework. Blech.

And, from meeting you just once, I'd definitely say Toronto is your kind of place. I liked Montreal when I went there, but I think I'd get bored of it quite quickly (and trust me, I have a high tolerance for boredom from living in Winnipeg, where the highlight of our year is the one random broadway tour that comes through during the summer!)

Good luck with everything!

It would have been extremely strange if me, you and yesican had all ended up at ( ... )

man i know what you mean!!!! something about montréal just seems so weird and not-homey to me and i'm sure that's just because it's not my home but man I DUNNO i kind of feel like i really need to get out of the city city sometimes, i miss being able to be really loud all the time and having a yard and ACTUAL TREES, man you city-folk have like four trees surrounded by sidewalk and tiny little parks full of people and you think it's nature BUT IT'S NOT DUDE, IT'S NOT and i miss western pennsylvania :( well i mean i'm there right now but you catch my drift
