This book is unhappy, Monsieur St Just.

The Never Never Land is like this place. It calls to whom it wants, and never lets go of some. The boy is a monster and does not know he is a monster. He does not know what death is and yet he always kills. I wonder what he dreams.

The adults are all trapped in their bodies.

I do not like it.

death -- it happens, book club, good armand, pretty things, thoughtful claudia is thoughtful

Ma chérie, it is only a fairytale. I would not trouble yourself over it.

I don't think that matters here, Louis.

Why do you say that?

There are things from fairy tales here, too.

I hadn't realized it was so grim myself. I suppose an actual child might miss all those details, but you are a wise person, Claudia.

It should make an interesting discussion. So you dislike Peter?

Sometimes.

When do you like him? Oh wait, perhaps you should think about it and save your answer for later.

Are you doing well?

I will do that.

Of late, I have simply had a good deal to think about, Monsieur.

i_hate_posses April 25 2010, 21:06:17 UTC
And your warden made you read it?

Everyone in the group is reading it.

I was thinkin' of picking that book up, but it seemed like a kids' story.

Guess some of those have an edge to them in the end, don't they?

Many fairy tales do, Monsieur.

True enough, or folks wouldn't pick 'em up so much.

This is that one where the kid's shadow goes missin'? Think I'll get my own copy and see you at the discussion.

Yes, that is the same story.
