Four-Legged Roommates Redux

Happy Easter, everybody! I've some news to share.

There's some new tenants here in our apartment. They're generally well-mannered and loving boys, though they're still skittish, walk around on all fours, and are only five months old.

I should probably take this opportunity to mention that they're cats, lest someone think I've gotten into the slave trade or something.

I was going to post a poll to see what their potential names would be, but it seems we've decided on suitable, applicable, appropriate choices already.

I am pleased to present Sallah & Indy. :-)

Sallah & Indy were adopted from the Humane Society of Fairfax during an adoption fair at a local PetSmart store. Liz, Amy, and Patty, the volunteers who talked with us over the past few weeks we've debated acquiring felines, were very happy to see these two get a good home. They're up on most of their shots and were fixed just last week.

They've adapted to their new environs reasonably well. The bedroom and bathroom are currently closed off to them, but they've gradually started moving beyond the cave-like confines of under-the-chair into the kitchen and living room.

Sallah is the slightly shy one with the majority-gray coloring. When they first came out of the carrier, it seemed that he wouldn't go anywhere his brother Indy hadn't explored already... part of the inspiration behind the names. :-) Indy is the one with the big white belly and white streak on the side of his nose.

Even if he is a little shy, Sallah still is curious and playful.

Through food bribery and play, they've slowly come around to letting themselves be petted and brushed. According to Courtney, they don't purr. "They rumble."

Oh yes... there will be macros.
