The never-ending appeal of the Doctor and Rose

... "in the grip of love"???? XD

I love how they are still being shipped.

Even though it's vicariously via Tennant and Piper, who are not in the same episode, and have not even been onscreen together in 4 years.

Even though this veers perilously close to RPF.

And even though this is REALLY not the best picture of Tennant.

The fact that they are still ( Read more... )

i think this is gonna need its own tag, doctor who

They're adorable. I think the show's sort of like a Love Actually type thing. Where the five episodes are all different stories about different people, but they're all sort of connected. It looks like Billie's love interest is the daughter of the person episode five is centred on.

Ngl, I'm really intrigued by Billie's episode, because it's a dynamic that's I've seen explored on a couple shows, but never with a f/f pairing.

Yeah, I think you're right! I haven't read a lot about it other than that it all takes place in the same town I think?

I'm also very much intrigued by what little I've heard about Billie's ep. I've heard the most about Tennant's ep tho.

When it comes to them, I'll take what I can get. And you just know there will be tumblr graphics smushing them together even if they never share a single scene.

OH COMPLETELY!!!

I think it's better that way, with the Tumblr graphics I mean. I really was happy to learn they weren't in the same ep once I learned the ~theme~ of these stories x.X

Yeah, from the clip they released of David's episode, I don't think I'm going to like his character very much, so it's probably best. :)

It's really a testament to how epic that pairing is in popular culture! Definitely not a ship to be trifled with! =D

I really, really, really wanted them to be in the same episode, darn it, if not for the potential video footage and possibility at more D/R manipulations for youtube, because they just have this chemistry on the screen that just makes you want to go 'awww' and stay in love with them forever <3

But yes, it is the OTP of all OTP's if pop culture is still shipping them almost half a dozen years later... xD

Although both Ten and Rose haven't been on Doctor Who in years they will always be my OTP - that'll never change! And it's a testament to the chemistry that DT and BP shared that they're using them both being in this to get people to watch it.

Absolutely!! It's been 6 years and they're still recognizeable enough to merit front-page marketing like this!

Simply amazing.

At first I really wanted them in the same ep, and then I found out that the miniseries was all about cheating and adultery and I did a 180 and was all "OMG SO GRATEFUL BIG DNW!!!!" D=

But re OTP of OTPs -- yes it is amazing!! 6 years is a LONG time for pop culture!
