So, since my internship starts tomorrow (and I'll be out of town with limited internet access for 3 days bc of training), this past week was supposed to be my last opportunity to catch up on quality TV.

Here's what was supposed to happen: I decided to FINALLY get around to watching Buffy, which I had never seen (yes, I know, much loss of fangirl ( Read more... )

Heh, about time you checked out Buffy! :D (Were you the one I was like, "That's a blow to your nerd street cred!" to?) I'm glad you like it...I'd be interested to hear more of your thoughts!

Though wow, that does sound like a good show! Hmm...

Hahah yes I was the one >.< IT'S SHAMEFUL I KNOW!!!

Boys Over Flowers was awesome - cracktastic, touching, and just OTT crazy enough to be entertaining. I love the character arcs in particular, and it had one of the most well-done love triangles I have seen in a long time!

There is a japanese version of HyD too is you want more.... I never got the style of shows with the guy being REALLY MEAN to the girl and then they fall in love. What.

I'm just gonna pimp liar game because it's my favorite dorama ever. and THEY ARE (mostly) NICE TO EACH OTHER.

You can watch it here: http://www.mysoju.com/liar-game/episode-1/
(Torrent it if you can because the visuals get STUNNING after the first few eps)

I was absolutely addicted to Korean dramas when I was pregnant with and up with my first child. There was nothing else on during those sleepless nights or at those 2 a.m. feedings besides infomercials. They didn't even have subtitles (well, they did, but they were Chinese subtitles), but I still could follow along just fine. So I can very well imagine how this could suck you. In fact, I think I might go put it on my Netflix streaming queue.

I can totally see how you could follow along w/o subtitles -- it seems that so much of the story was told via reaction shots! And I definitely recommend it!! =D

I might have to check out the Korean drama! I don't have Netflix any more but my SIL does so I'll try to convince her to watch it with me.

It was quite enjoyable!! Even my husband was getting into it, and he doesn't stick around for many of the shows I like!

Yup!! I'll still be watching the rest - albeit probably at a slower pace because my internship has started! =D
