I really can't imagine Eleven and Riven not having an open relationship. Yeah they have a thing, there is love and a lot of chemistry but they don't wait at home for each other.
River is, no doubt, breaking out of prison and having fun with boys and girls and so can the Doctor.
And I love how they did the family thing, not some soppy melodrama mess but a cool character who was useful and likeable. And really well fleshed out with out a lot of non-plot progressing time waisted on them.
Nefertiti was so awesome. Loved her. So was Amy. Woo, Queens!
I loved the choice to have the Doctor kill Solomon. It was nicely done too. not over the top. No tears or angst. Just a person doing what must be done and moving on with his heart a little heavier.
You know what? I liked it too! Being from Chibnall, of course it wasn't perfect. But having Nefertiti, Arthur Weasley, Filch, and Inspector Lestrade on a spaceship with dinosaurs made up for everything lol.
And yes we FINALLY got to meet another family member. Rory's dad = ♥
It was kinda weird that Amy didn't mention that the Doctor is her sort-of son-in-law when she saw Nefertiti macking on him. Like, does River only exist in the episodes in which she appears?
...Come to think of it, that would explain a lot. XD
And IA, I still don't buy Amy and the Doctor's ~close friendship. It is pretty sad that she spends her life waiting for him to come back. But then the whole "Girl Who Waited" arc rubs me the wrong way, so.
I totally squeed over Bad Wolf Bay! Also that the raptors had feathers. /dino geek
I loved this ep, too, it's already in the running for season favourite for me. (Even though Chibnall obviously doesn't know what "queen" means in Egyptian, but oh well.) XD
I didn't recognise Bad Wolf Bay, though, and I feel like a bad shipper...
lol I'm the opposite. Despite its problems, I still enjoy 42. Hungry Earth... IDK I just thought it was boring. The pacing wasn't the best, and the dynamic between the humans and the Silurians felt really cliched to me. Like, it was obvious that the mom was going to kill the prisoner, but I found the mom's character was so unlikeable that there was no conflict. I did like the female scientist one-off companion. YMMV of course - if you liked it, more power to you! (I don't enjoy disliking my favourite show, lol.)
Haven't started seeing, but if there are at least some fun episodes, I may just watch it for pure entertainment (*sigh* feels, where did you go?), but seeing how it's run by Moffat, it's doubtful. *Ready to let season 7 gather dust before watching*

I felt for the Silurians too. Forever screwed over by humanity.

Aww you're definitely not a bad shipper! It took me a minute, until I remembered the Beeb's penchant for reusing sets and locations. XD
