So, something I wrote was tapped to be a "Guest Column" over at Scott Tipton's
Comics 101, and it just went live.
Needless to say, I am filled with all kinds of giggly fanboy glee.
Take a look if you feel so inclined - and I'd love to hear feedback. Good, bad, indifferent, whatever. Lemme know what you think.

and as far as how good the article was...as usual profestional grade spectacular and I learned a lot.
and now I have opinions on the subject :)
is it just me or does it seem like marvel is playing into this "america needs to humble itself so as not to be ignorant" bull crap.
yeah humility=important but that means we aren't alowed to have pride in being apart of this great nation ::despite recent events::??? w/e
much love man awesome job!!!

As far as the other stuff, I'm not sure, honestly. The head honchos at Marvel have sworn up and down that they aren't trying to inject any specific message into the whole "Death of Captain America" story. Some people can see that, some people disagree. I honestly don't care one way or another, because whether they're injecting some kind of message or not, it's still a stunt that's trying to add relevance and depth to an event that's pretty much the comic book equivalent to a Vin Diesel flick.
I've heard the current writer of Captain America say that he had been planning for a while to off Cap, and to be honest, if it had just been that, and not the post-script to some massive, ridiculously disappointing event, it probably would have been a pretty good story. But as it stands it just looks like a ridiculous stunt and it feels like a hollow ending intended merely for faux-relevance and that's it.

I enjoyed the article, I obviously didn't really know much of what was going on, but I thought it was very well written and very informing to someone who doesn't really know the subject matter. So overall, excellent job!
