Well, my Dell 1545 apparently needs a new motherboard, chips, RAM, and hard drive, or at least that's what tech support decided to do since I guess they couldn't easily troubleshoot my ongoing sporadic BSODs. I'm mostly interested in fantasy kind of stuff. Right now I've been primarily making really functional stuff like my crossbow, regular bows, and quivers. I've been planning on trying to sell crossbows and regular bows that are not exact replicas of real historic pieces but are at least somewhat based on real items. Same goes for quivers. At the same time, I'm also planning on making some bows and quivers that are inspired by fantasy pieces - think Elven bows, arrows, quivers, etc. I had just gotten to thinking about the WETA guys and was wondering what it takes to get a job with companies like that. So, if I get your gist you're saying you need to start making and selling some stuff to build a portfolio. I'm not terribly serious about going to work for a prop company, but it does offer the possibility of a career making cool stuff and getting paid for it. However, the one drawback I see to working for a real big time prop production company would be that they're probably all based somewhere like California.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - I am on Armor Archive but I don't check over there very often. It seems to be more geared towards people who are doing rather than buying.
