Wow, it's so nice to have gorgeous weather on the weekend. I'd forgotten what this was like! And I ran around all day yesterday so I could have the house in order by today, so I'm not obligated to do much of anything but enjoy the sun for the next couple days

Interesting piece you might like in the New York Times today, about a financial firm who's specifically hiring Baby Boomers as their customer service team for people whose investments have tanked. Partly it's because they're more reliable than twenty-somethings, but mostly it's because they're old enough to have some empathy and apparently are good listeners. There's a sad-but-funny quote at the end: "As good as they are, there are some calls that are even too much for this elite team. 'Whenever we get a call from one of the Madoff clients, they’re considered a special group,' Mr. Reymann said. 'We have been told to direct them to' the company’s Madoff team - 'that’s almost like a suicide prevention team.' "
