Loved Slumdog -- felt really different, perhaps because I can't think of another Indian-theme film I've seen.
I've got a bunch of these others in my queue -- like Frost/Nixon, Passenders and Doubt.
Marley and Me I did not expect to like, but parts of it really choked me up (losing an aged yellow lab, which we did last year. Miscarriages, which we went through twice.) Very sweet film.
The Readers was OK but I actually thought Kate deserved the Oscar more for Revolutionary Road. Wow, that was a good film. Very hard to watch but she was wonderful in it.
